The Big Hungry Panda isn’t about chasing every stamp on the passport — it’s about savoring the places I have been lucky enough to explore and sharing those experiences honestly. My journey with food started close to home, visiting cafés, eateries, and street-side stalls across different states in India. Each stop left its own flavor, reminding me that good food is everywhere if you know where to look.

A few adventures have taken me outside India, where food became the highlight of my travels. In Thailand, I explored the vibrant streets of Bangkok, enjoyed the comforting flavors of Chiang Mai, and soaked in the coastal vibes of Phuket. Vietnam added another unforgettable chapter — from steaming bowls of pho in Hanoi to the fresh herbs of Hoi An, from the mountain charm of Sapa to the bustling food culture of Da Nang and Saigon.

These journeys may not span the globe, but they’ve given me more than enough stories to tell. Every review here comes from a real bite, a real table, and a real moment that I hope will inspire fellow food lovers to seek their own discoveries.

The Story Behind the Name

How "The Big Hungry Panda" came to life

The name “The Big Hungry Panda” wasn’t the result of branding or strategy — it started as a joke. Long before I ever thought of blogging, I was that person who would hop between food joints, eat like there was no tomorrow, and casually flood my Instagram stories with pictures of whatever was on my plate. One day, a friend teased me and said, “You should just start a food page — call it The Hungry Panda!” I laughed it off, thinking it was just another silly idea.

But weeks later, while on a solo trek, I found myself replaying those words. Sitting on a mountain top, watching the view after pitching my tent, I thought about how much joy I got from food and sharing it. Maybe starting a blog wasn’t such a crazy idea. The name, though, needed something more. “The Hungry Panda” sounded fun, but it didn’t fully capture my appetite. So I added one word: Big.

The “Big” isn’t about size — I’m tall, yes, but not huge. It’s about appetite. Back then, I could devour meals that would shock most people, and even today, I still carry that spirit of curiosity and hunger for new flavors.

That’s how The Big Hungry Panda was born: out of a casual joke, a huge appetite, and the simple joy of sharing food experiences. What started with random Instagram stories has now grown into a space where my passion for eating, exploring, and photographing food comes together. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
